Ihagee Exakta FE 2000
The last model of Exakta that the West German Ihagee marketed was the Exakta
FE 2000. Like it's predecessors the TL 1000 and TL 500, it was built by
Petri. Based on the Petri FT line, the cameras were fitted with the 42mm Universal
thread mount. It was similar to the TL 1000, but had shutter speed priority
automatic exposure. It was also finished in black paint.
This was the end of the line for Ihagee West. Unable to make much of an
impact on the market, and unable to find financial backing, they went bankrupt
in September of 1976.
